Opoku Amankwa heads PSWU

A 42-year old Director of the National Commission for Civic Education, Georgina Opoku Amankwaah, has been elected the new National Chairperson of the Public Services Workers' Union, PSWU.

Madam Georgina Opoku Amankwaah takes over from Samuel Mensah Nyarko, who stepped down after three terms as the National Chairman of the Union.

This was at the 7th National Delegates Conference of the PSWU, in Kumasi. Mr. J. N. A. Owoo was elected unopposed as the First National Vice Chairman, while the Vice Chairperson position went to Cecilia Bawana Naab.

A.T.D. Okine retained his position as the General Secretary. Other elected National Executives are Richard Ampaabeng, Deputy General Secretary, Santos Beyogleh, First Trustee and Fati Seidu Tandro, Second Trustee.
