Officials from Tunisia say they are happy with facilities in Tamale, where the Carthage Eagles will be based for the Nations Cup.

The two-man team left Ghana after inspecting the training pitch and the accommodation being offered in this northern city.

Tamale will also host South Africa, Senegal and Angola in Group D.

FTF executive member Jalel Ben Tekaya told BBC Sport: "We are delighted with the facilities in Tamale."

"But our visit was not about doing an inspection tour, it was geared towards putting everything in place for the team.

"The stadium is fantastic, the training pitch is in good shape and we liked the atmosphere of the city itself.

"We also like the climatic conditions and it will suit us during the tournament.

"Unless there are some last minute disappointments we do not expect any difficulties."

The Tunisians visited Tamale just two days after the Confederation of African Football (Caf) finished its 10th inspection tour of facilities in all the four venues.

Accommodation in Tamale had been a major concern in some quarters but after Caf's recent visit, the venue has been declared ready to host all the teams.
