Premier league champions, Accra Hearts of Oak, will engage Heart of Lions and Liberty Professionals in a three-day special NIIT Invitational Challenge Cup at the El-Wak Stadium and Dansoman Park beginning today.
The three clubs will be battling for the winner's prize of ¢100 million in a tournament put together by Creative Marketing Concept, with a view to promoting Information Technology (IT) education and the promotion of made-in-Ghana products.
The first runner-up wins ¢75 million, while the third-placed team takes home ¢25 million. This afternoon, at 3p.m., the Lions will be the guests of Liberty in the first match at Dansoman with the winner qualifying to meet the Phobians at El-Wak on Sunday afternoon.
A flat rate of GH¢2 (¢20,000) will be charged at the gates.
The competition will be an exciting prelude to the 2007 Onetouch Premier League which commences next week at all league centres.
