Ghana Premier League returnees Eleven Wonders have undergone a significant transformation, with the club officially rebranded as Legon Cities and preparing to relocate to Accra.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) confirmed the development through its Communications Director, Henry Asante Twum, who attributed the change to new ownership at the club.
“There’s a change of ownership. Eleven Wonders is now Legon Cities, and they will play in Accra,” Asante Twum told Sporty FM.
The move marks a new chapter for the club, which had been based in Techiman and built a loyal following in the Bono East region.
While the relocation may evoke mixed emotions among long-time fans, officials hope it will strengthen the club’s brand and attract broader support in the capital.
Now back in the spotlight of Ghana’s top-flight football, Legon Cities will aim to make an impact both on and off the pitch, with their return expected to inject renewed energy into the Premier League season.
