New Asante Kotoko midfielder Hubert Gyau has expressed his ambition to help the club win trophies following his move from Berekum Chelsea.
The highly-rated 20-year-old has signed a four-year contract with the Porcupine Warriors, becoming their first acquisition ahead of the new season.
“I’m proud to be joining Asante Kotoko,” Gyau told Kotoko media after his unveiling.
“I believe this is the right place for me to develop further. My aim is to help the club win things immediately, and to use this opportunity to take another big step in my career by earning a move to a top European club one day," the 20-year-old added.
Gyau made his Ghana Premier League breakthrough in the 2023/24 season, featuring in 12 matches at just 18 years old.
He quickly became a regular, making 27 appearances and cementing his role in midfield.
His arrival forms part of Kotoko’s efforts to bolster their squad as they gear up for the CAF Confederation Cup, having secured qualification by winning the 2024/25 FA Cup.
