Hearts of Oak: Aboubakar Ouattara slams Didi Dramani's appointment, labels it 'big administrative error'

Former Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara has expressed strong criticism over the club’s decision to appoint a new head coach without informing him.

On Friday, June 20, the Phobian Club announced the hiring of Mas-Ud Didi Dramani as their new head coach ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Dramani, who previously served as an assistant coach for the Black Stars, has signed a two-year contract with Hearts of Oak.

Ouattara, who led the team for the past two seasons, condemned the club’s management for not communicating with him prior to the appointment.

The Ivorian coach described the move as a significant administrative oversight.

"You cannot appoint a coach while another coach is in place. It is a big administrative mistake," he said in an interview aired on Pure FM.

"If you want to appoint a new coach, talk to me, but they rather ghosted me," he added.

After Dramani’s appointment, Ouattara was reassigned as a Special Advisor to the club’s Board of Directors.
