Asante Kotoko have officially parted ways with goalkeeper Frederick Asare following the expiration of his contract.
The 25-year-old, who had taken over the captain’s armband from Ibrahim Danlad, endured a difficult 2024/25 season, losing his starting spot to Mohammed Camara.
Asare featured in just 15 league matches, recording seven clean sheets and conceding 12 goals during the campaign.
Kotoko confirmed his departure on Thursday, marking the end of his three-year stint with the club.

With his departure now official, the experienced goalkeeper is attracting interest from top clubs, including Ghana Premier League champions Bibiani Gold Stars and Medeama SC.
