Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing a bid to sign Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United during the summer transfer window.
Kudus, who joined West Ham in 2023 and is under contract until 2028, has emerged as a hot prospect on the transfer market.
The 24-year-old attacker is attracting interest from several top European clubs, including Chelsea, Newcastle United, and Atletico Madrid.
West Ham are said to be open to letting Kudus go—but only if his £85 million release clause is met.
Despite this, The Guardian reports that Tottenham are looking to test the waters with an initial offer of £50 million for the former Ajax star.
Interestingly, Spurs and West Ham have not completed a transfer deal in over a decade.
The last interactions between the two London clubs date back to 2011, involving Scott Parker and a loan move for David Bentley.
A proposed deal for Emmanuel Adebayor in 2015 was blocked by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, and no transactions have occurred between the clubs since.
Kudus has made a big impact at West Ham, contributing 19 goals and 13 assists in 80 appearances across all competitions.
His performances have firmly placed him on the radar of top-tier clubs looking to bolster their attacking options this summer.
