Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has reaffirmed the Black Stars’ strong ambition to secure a spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The four-time African champions boosted their qualification hopes in March with convincing victories over Chad and Madagascar.
The back-to-back wins have lifted Ghana to the summit of Group I with 15 points, with just four matches remaining in the qualifying campaign for the tournament, which will be hosted across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Speaking to 3Sports, the Arsenal star expressed confidence in the team’s journey back to the global stage.
"As players, we want to be at the World Cup," Partey said.
"We were there the last time, and we saw how nice it is, and we want to be there again, so hopefully we win the rest of the games, and we will be there," the 31-year-old added.
The Black Stars are set to reconvene in September for Matchday 7 and 8 fixtures, where they will face Chad and Mali in crucial encounters.
