Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has made it clear that his side is fully focused on winning the 2024/25 FA Cup, refusing to underestimate their lower-tier opponents, Golden Kick, ahead of the final.

The Porcupine Warriors will clash with Golden Kick in this season's FA Cup final, scheduled for June 15 at the University of Ghana Stadium.

Speaking to the media, Zito emphasized his team's determination and warned that the underdog status of Golden Kick won’t change Kotoko's approach to the game.

“You can’t underrate any club until you get what you want,” he told reporters. “I don’t care whether they are in Division One or not — I don’t care. I am going there for the cup," he told the press.

"Whoever comes to the final, I am going to deal with it, I am going to fight it, and I will make sure we beat them and take the cup," he added.

Kotoko secured their spot in the final with a narrow 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea in a tense semifinal showdown at the TNA Stadium.

Meanwhile, Golden Kick pulled off a surprise 3-1 victory against Attram De Visser to book their place in the final.

Before the big showdown, Asante Kotoko will take on Dreams FC on Sunday in a Ghana Premier League Matchday 31 fixture at the Tuba Astro Turf.
