Black Queens head coach, Kim Lars Bjorkegren, says they will keep improving their goal-scoring rates in their next camp.

The senior women's national team have been in camp for the upcoming Women's Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which will be hosted in Morocco later this year.

Bjorkegren clarified that although the team have greatly improved in many areas but finding the back of the net remains the team's challenge.

“We’ve been testing around with a lot of players, and now we need to get closer to the final pieces. The final piece, when it comes to the tactical aspect, will be the final third and how to connect with the wingers and the number nines,” Bjorkegren told the Ghana FA media.

“That’s maybe the most important part to create more chances and score more goals, and that’s necessary, of course, to win games. So that’s the final part we will work on in the next camp,” before praising the quality of players that participated in the camp, stating, “You can really see the talent in these players when you spend time with them and get to know them. Overall, really good. I think there have been five or six that we’ll put on the list and look at a little bit closer: Abigail, Nancy, Fatima, for example, but maybe another two or three as well.”

The 2025 WAFCON has been scheduled to kick off from July 5 to July 26, with the Black Queens paired in Group C alongside defending champions South Africa, Tanzania and Mali.
