This result came after a disappointing start to the competition, where Ghana placed third in their heat on Day One with a time of 38.49 seconds, falling short of automatic qualification.
Sprinter Ibrahim Fuseini delivered a standout performance, anchoring the final leg with a blistering 9.04-second split to push Ghana into second place.
Although narrowly edged out by France, who won the heat in 38.31 seconds, Ghana’s time was enough to secure their spot at the World Championships.
Fuseini’s impressive run was the highlight of Ghana’s campaign, mirroring his strong showing on Day One and sealing the team’s passage to Tokyo.
