Ghana captain, Jordan Ayew, has assured Ghanaians that the team is ready to do everything to make them happy.

The national team recently received backlash after the team failed to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

However, in the March international break, the Black Stars have secured important wins against Chad and Madagascar in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

In a statement after the games, Jordan Ayew noted that the Black Stars are keen on qualifying for next year’s World Cup.

“Although we faced challenges in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, we're committed to turning things around and making you proud. We're working diligently to enhance our game, ensuring we secure the necessary results in the remaining matches to qualify for the World Cup,” Jordan Ayew said.

The Black Stars captain continued, “We're not giving up! We're focused on the task ahead, and we're confident that together, we can achieve our goal.

“We'll do everything in our power to make Ghana proud and bring joy to your hearts.”

Following the wins against Chad and Madagascar, the Black Stars are now top of Group I with 15 points.

It puts the team in a very good position to qualify for the World Cup.
