Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has expressed confidence in the Black Stars' psychological readiness ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
Following their failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the four-time African champions are regrouping for the first time this year, aiming to strengthen their chances of securing a spot at the Mundial.
Speaking to 3Sports, Kofi Adams reassured Ghanaians of the team’s preparedness and urged nationwide support.
“I want to call on Ghanaians to support the team. I know we’re going to win both games," he said.
"The players are well energized, well prepared and psychologically I believe they are ready for both games we’re ready for the two matches and we will win,” he added.
Ghana will take on Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, before travelling to Morocco to face Madagascar on Monday, March 24.
Meanwhile, the team has officially begun camp in Accra and will hold their first training session today at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Ghana currently shares the top spot in Group I of the World Cup qualifiers with Comoros, both sitting on nine points.
