Nations FC defender, Razak Simpson is confident Black Stars will qualify for the 2026 World Cup which is scheduled to be hosted in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
The senior national team, after mising out on the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament will for the first time regroup for the Mundial qualifiers.
Ghana will take on Chad and Madagascar in the Matchday five and six games of the qualifiers.
Ahead of the games, Simpson says he has seen enough in the team to convince him the Black Stars can qualify to the World Cup.
‘For me, we have an amazing and quality players there. It is based on tactics and everything, whatever the coaches decide," he told 3Sports.
"We are 1000 % confident we are going to qualify. We are going to put in our best, and qualify,” he added.
The team has officially open camp in Accra today and will hold their first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Ghana will face Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, before travelling to Morocco to take on Madagascar on Monday, March 24.
Mohammed Kudus, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Jojo Wollacott, Antoine Semenyo and Thomas Partey have all arrived in camp.
The Black Stars currently sit second in Group I with nine points, level with leaders Comoros.
