President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has implored fans to rally behind Black Stars ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
The senior national team will host Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on March 21 in the Matchday five games before traveling to Morocco to face Madagascar on March 24 in the Matchday six games.
Speaking to the media after arriving from Cairo after winning the CAF Executive Committee slot, Mr Okraku emphasized the importance of unity and encouragement.
“If we show the Black Stars love and support, they’ll win the games against Chad and Madagascar,” he told the fans.
His appeal comes at a critical time, with Ghana looking to build momentum after recent struggles in major tournaments.
The team is determined to secure a spot at the World Cup, and these upcoming matches will be key to their qualification hopes.
Currently, the Black Stars are tied at the top of Group I with Comoros, both sitting on nine points after four matches played.
After failing to win any game in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, the four-time African champions are determined to keep their hopes alive in the Mundial qualifiers.
