Australian Premiership side, Brisbane Roar has announced the signing of Ghanaian attacker Asumah Abubakar to strengthen its squad.
The club confirmed the acquisition of the talented forward in an official statement on Wednesday, February 12.
Asumah Abubakar has been signed for the remainder of the 2024/25 football season but could have the chance to extend his stay if he manages to impress.
“Brisbane Roar is excited to announce the signing of 27-year-old forward Asumah Abubakar from Grasshopper Club Zurich. The former Portuguese u19 international, of Ghanaian descent, brings a wealth of experience and attacking prowess to the Roar’s frontline.
“Abubakar has signed for the remainder of the Isuzu Ute A-League 2024/25 season and will wear the number 11 jersey. Abubakar is set to join his Roar teammates in the coming days. Welcome to the Roar, Asumah,” the club statement from Brisbane Roar said.
