All set for 2025 Ride Afrique Accra Criterium

The highly anticipated Ride Afrique Accra Criterium is set to take place on Saturday, April 19th, 2025, at the iconic Accra Sports Stadium.

This year's edition promises to be an exhilarating experience, with 105 kilometres (30 laps) of intense cycling action.

The event is part of the Ride Afrique Cycling Project, a pioneering initiative aimed at discovering and rewarding talented cyclists across the African continent.

Since its inception five years ago, the Ride Afrique Cycling Project has made significant strides in promoting cycling excellence in Africa.

The project has gained international recognition from the International Cycling Union and has received approval from the Ghana Cycling Federation.

This endorsement is a testament to the project's commitment to developing cycling talent and hosting world-class events.

According to Mr. Richard Agu, CEO of the Ride Afrique Cycling Project, preparations for this year's event are well underway.

Agu assured that suitable measures have been put in place to ensure a successful and incident-free event, including security, volunteer, and visibility teams.

"We are thrilled to host the Ride Afrique Accra Criterium 2025, and we are confident that this year's event will be the most exciting and competitive yet," said Mr. Agu.

"We have worked tirelessly to upgrade our organization structure and awards, and we are eager to showcase the talents of Africa's top cyclists," he added.

He, however, expressed gratitude to sponsors and partners for supporting the project.

This year's Ride Afrique Accra Criterium has witnessed a significant upgrade in its organization structure and awards. The winners will receive substantial cash prizes, as well as products and materials from sponsors.
