Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has urged his team to prioritize their own preparations over preoccupation with rivals Hearts of Oak as they gear up for the highly anticipated Super Clash.
The Porcupine Warriors will host the Phobians on Sunday, December 15, at the Baba Yara Stadium in a Matchday 13 fixture of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
Kotoko heads into the game with just one win in their last six matches, while Hearts of Oak are unbeaten in their previous six outings. Despite his side's inconsistent form, Dr. Ogum insists that their focus must remain inward.
“The focus should be us. Sometimes when you focus too much on the (opponent), you forget about yourself and it goes to affect you," he told the club's media.
He added, "Ours is to make sure that we get our tactics right, we get our confidence, get our confidence right, our determination, our aggression, everything right and then face them."
The much-anticipated clash is scheduled to kick off at 15:00 GMT.
