A former Sekondi Hasaacas FC player, Kwabena Baidoo has been confirmed dead while celebrating the victory of the National Democratic (NDC) in the 2024 general elections.
The tragic incident occurred in the Ellembelle District on Monday, December 9.
According to reports, Baidoo was jubilating when he met his demise in a motor accident.
The brother of the deceased, Emmanuel Quarm, confirmed the tragic news and indicated that the demise saddens the entire family.
However, Sekondi Hasaacas are yet to confirm the passing away of the player.
NDC supporters across the nation jubilated overwhelmingly after the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, conceded defeat to John Dramani Mahama on Sunday.
The flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama secured 6,328,397 votes constituting 56.55% of the total valid votes cast across the country in all 16 regions while Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who is also the Vice President, managed 41.61% with 4,657,304 of the polls.
