Asante Kotoko midfielder Justice Blay is set to extend his stay with the club by signing a two-year contract extension, following successful negotiations after initially rejecting an earlier offer.

According to a report by ghanasportspage.com, the new deal will prolong his current contract, which was scheduled to end in January 2025, until 2027. The agreement is expected to be finalized and officially announced in the coming days.

Blay has been a pivotal figure for the Porcupine Warriors this season, appearing in nine out of 12 Ghana Premier League matches. His stellar performances have earned him four MVP awards, underlining his importance to the team.

The former Medeama star has garnered admiration from fans for his resilience, leadership, and consistency, with many hailing him as a potential club legend.

By securing Blay’s services for the long term, Kotoko aims to solidify their midfield strength while benefiting from his experience and influence within the squad.

Asante Kotoko currently occupies seventh place on the Ghana Premier League table, with 18 points from 12 games.
