Ghana defender Tariq Lamptey displayed his attacking flair on Sunday, netting a spectacular goal in Brighton & Hove Albion's 2-2 draw against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Brighton seemed poised for victory after building a 2-0 lead, but a spirited Leicester comeback saw the points shared in this entertaining Week 16 Premier League encounter.

Lamptey broke the deadlock in the 37th minute with a moment of magic. The dynamic full-back received a lofted pass from Pervis Estupiñán on the edge of the penalty area and unleashed a thunderous shot into the top left corner, leaving the Leicester goalkeeper rooted to the spot.

The Seagulls extended their advantage in the 79th minute when Yankuba Minteh dazzled the crowd with an impressive solo run, finishing with a precise strike into the bottom left corner. Brighton appeared in control as the clock ticked down.

However, Leicester launched a dramatic late response. In the 86th minute, Jamie Vardy nodded in a well-placed cross from Bobby De Cordova-Reid to reduce the deficit. Deep into stoppage time, De Cordova-Reid turned goal scorer, slotting home Vardy’s assist to secure an unlikely equaliser.

Lamptey’s stunning effort marked his first goal of the season and added to an impressive tally of two assists in just four league appearances. While Brighton missed the chance to claim all three points, Lamptey’s performance further highlighted his growing influence on the team.
