Former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Tamimu Issah has criticized the management committee system in Ghana football.
The various national teams including the Black Stars operate under a committee.
However, Tamimu Issah has raised a red flag against operating under such a system as he believes it is an outdated initiative.
“One of the problems I have is the management committee system. Just look around, where do you have this kind of system? It is archaic," he told Asempa FM. "We should do away with that management committee system.
“I’m not saying there shouldn’t be management but per the kind of system we have, the coach is the manager of the team. You can have a structure but the kind of structure we have doesn’t exist," he added.
Meanwhile, the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has dissolved the Black Stars management committee following the team’s dismal performance during the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
However, the Ghana FA is expected to constitute a new management committee to steer affairs in subsequent games.
