Asante Kotoko has reportedly offered midfielder Justice Blay a two-year contract extension, according to local media sources.
Blay, 32, joined the Porcupine Warriors on a permanent deal in 2022 from Medeama, following an impressive loan spell.
His initial stint on loan during the 2019/2020 season saw him become a fan favourite, known for his powerful performances on the field.
Since then, Blay has solidified his place in the Kotoko lineup with consistent, hard-tackling displays.
As his current contract is set to expire in January 2025, Kotoko is aiming to secure his services beyond 2024, reportedly sweetening the offer to retain one of their most dependable players.
Blay's versatility is a key asset to coach Prosper Narteh Ogum, allowing flexibility in tactical setups and making him an invaluable member of the squad.
Although Kotoko is eager to finalize the deal, Blay has yet to make a decision as he carefully considers his options.
So far, the former Medeama midfielder has made seven appearances in the Ghana Premier League this season, showcasing his reliability in the team's midfield.
