The Black Stars of Ghana kicked off their preparations for their final round of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers with eight players.
The team opened camp on Monday morning and held their first training session with eight players at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Among the participants were three locally-based players: Razak Simpson (Nations FC), Isaac Afful (Samartex), and Emmanuel Antwi (Asante Kotoko), along with four foreign-based players: Gideon Mensah, Mohammed Kudus, Elisha Owusu, Joseph Wollacott, and Osman Bukari.
Coach Addo is expecting the squad to grow in numbers, with more players set to join camp on Monday night.
The Black Stars will hold their final training session on Tuesday behind closed doors before departing for Luanda on Wednesday.
The Black Stars will be hosted by Angola in the Matchday five games on Friday, November 15 at the Estádio 11 de Novembro before the Black Stars wrap up the qualifiers at the Accra Sports Stadium against Niger on Monday, November 18.
Ghana currently sits third in Group F with just two points from four games, and qualification is no longer in their hands.
The Black Stars must win their remaining matches and hope that Sudan, who have seven points, lose both of theirs in order to qualify for the tournament that will be hosted in Morocco next year.
