Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Communications Director Ibrahim Sannie Daara has urged Black Stars head coach Otto Addo to select the country's top players for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying matches.

The Black Stars will face Palancras Negras on November 15 at Estádio 11 de Novembro in Angola and then play Niger Republic at home in the Accra Sports Stadium on November 18.

As Otto Addo prepares to announce the squad, Sannie Daara has advised against calls to include local players, emphasizing the need for Ghana's strongest lineup.

Despite a challenging start, Sannie Daara believes the Black Stars still have a path to AFCON qualification if they focus on bringing in the best players available.

"We have to do anything possible to ensure that we qualify for the AFCON, so we have to invite the best players because we are still in the race for qualification," he told Asempa FM.

Reflecting on the team’s potential, he added, "We have won against Mali in the World Cup qualifiers, so it's still possible we can go and win at Angola and beat Niger as well.

"We have the players and talent to do it," he added.

With two draws and two losses, Ghana currently holds third place in Group F. To advance, the Black Stars need to win both upcoming matches and hope that Sudan loses its games against Niger and Angola.
