Albert K. Frimpong of Ghana has received a new continental appointment during an ANOCA consultative meeting with African Confederation leaders in Cameroon.
At the meeting, a new organization named the Association of Confederations for Olympic Sports (ACOS) in English, or CASOL in French, was established.
Albert K. Frimpong, who is the President of African Baseball and a former President of Ghana Baseball, was elected as a board member of this newly formed body.
"This new organization is affiliated with ANOCA and is similar to ASOIF. Its main objective is to ensure that African competitions serve as Olympic qualifiers, helping African sports teams avoid long-distance travel to other parts of the world to compete for Olympic qualification. It will also collaborate with African Confederations and organizations to better support and prepare our athletes and talents for greater achievements," Frimpong explained.
Mr. Frimpong also serves as an executive board member of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC).
