Ghana coach, Otto Addo says his side is mentally ready for the must-win contest against Sudan on Tuesday, October 15.
The Black Stars are scheduled to do battle with the Falcons in the Matchday four games in the return leg of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament at the Martyrs of February Stadium.
Speaking in a pre-match interview, Otto Addo said his team has prepared very well, adding that the issue of goal-scoring has also been worked on.
According to him, he is confident about securing victory to get back on track to qualify for the 2025 AFCON.
“And I think the boys are mentally ready and yeah, this is the only thing which is missing. We have to score," he said.
"We have to score. We have to believe in ourselves. Is very important. If we believe the goals will come,” he added.
The Black Stars have struggled in the qualifiers so far, earning just two points from their first three matches. Otto Addo's team suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Angola in their opening game, followed by a 1-1 draw with Niger, and a goalless draw against Sudan.
A win for Ghana against Sudan on Tuesday will propel the Black Stars to second in Group F, improving their chances of making it to the next edition of the AFCON.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 13:00 GMT.
