FC Samartex coach, Nurudeen Amadu has assured that his side will fight to win against Raja Club Athletic in the reverse encounter of the CAF Champions League second round of preliminary games.
The Ghana Premier League champions were held to a 2-2 draw against the Moroccan side in the first leg on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Nurudeen Amadu says he was impressed that his team gave the opponent a tough match but expressed his disappointment after failing to convert their chances.
“I’m not a happy person but I think we didn’t disgrace ourselves. It’s like the equalizer during the second half we just dished it out to them and we didn’t defend well in that situation. We were wasteful in front of the goal and that cost us,” Nurudeen Amadu said.
On the reverse fixture, he said, “We are aware when you make minor mistakes they punish you for it. Now we are going to fight because I have seen how they play and so I will also see how to strategize to go there.
"We will see how we will be resilient and so that we can go and fight them there,” Amadu added.
FC Samartex are aiming to play in the group stage of the CAF Champions League in their maiden participation.
