Asante Kotoko will use the Len Clay Sports Stadium in Obuasi as their new home ground for the 2024/25 season, following the temporary closure of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The Baba Yara Stadium was shut down for renovations after hosting the Black Stars' 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying match against Angola. The decision to close the stadium stems from its deteriorating condition.
Initially, it was speculated that the Porcupine Warriors would adopt the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese as their temporary home. However, the club has now confirmed that they will play their home matches at the Len Clay Stadium.
This change means that Asante Kotoko will host Nsoatreman FC for their first home match of the season at the Len Clay Stadium.
The club is already in advanced discussions with Anglogold Ashanti, the owners of the Len Clay Stadium. Inspections of the facilities have been conducted, and final approval from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is pending before the move becomes official.
Asante Kotoko plans to return to the Baba Yara Stadium once renovations are completed.
