Former Ghana international, Karim Abdul Razak has questioned the commitment level of the Black Stars following their recent performances.
The senior national team kicked off their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers with a disappointing 1-0 defeat against Angola.
Otto Addo and his side were held to a 1-1 draw against Niger in their second group game.
The results leave Ghana at the 3rd spot with just a point.
“When we are in camp, we play friendlies with Kotoko, Olympics, and Hearts. This time, they don't even want to play with these local clubs,” Abdul Razak said in an interview played on Asempa FM.
“So it was mostly easier for us to play together. We are also playing not for ourselves; we play for the team, we are playing for the country, that's all. Because in the end, when you win the match, no bonus is coming. So why think of getting a bonus before you play?
“You go and play and win; that's what we need. It's not the same today. You should know the terrain very well. See your players every week," he added.
The Black Stars will hope to improve their performance when they face Sudan in a doubleheader in October in the matchday three and four games.
