Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo, has confirmed that Elisha Owusu could miss Ghana's opener of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola.
The AJ Auxerre midfielder reported late to camp ahead of the game on Thursday.
Speaking in a pre-game presser on Wednesday, Otto Addo, shed light on late arrivals to the Black Stars camp including Owusu and Jordan Ayew.
On Owusu, Addo was skeptical about his chances of playing against Angola due to a muscular problem with the head coach stating,
“I hope they will be okay, especially with Elisha, some muscle problems," the 45-year-old trainer said.
"After training, the doctor will talk to them and see how they are feeling. So there is a little bit of a question mark, to be honest, but hope it will be okay, especially on Elisha," he added.
The game has been scheduled to kick off at 16:00GMT at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Ghana is aiming to secure one of the top two spots in Group F to qualify for the 2025 AFCON held in Morocco.
