Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo says he is convinced his side will concede goals off long balls ahead of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) opener.
Ghana will host the Palancas Negras in their opener of the qualifying games on Thursday, September 5 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
However, Addo's side have been struggling to deal with long balls and conceded two goals in their 4-3 win over Central African Republic in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier in June earlier this year.
But ahead of the game against Angola, the 45-year-old trainer believes this won’t happen.
“We had problems with that (conceding from long balls). For me, it’s not particularly easy to work particularly on that because we just had three days of training so it’s not that easy," Addo told the media on Wednesday at the press conference.
"It’s more about technical things in general, individual tactics which we have to improve and we addressed it and I’m convinced this won’t happen again," he added.
The game has been scheduled to kick off at 16:00GMT.
