The draw date for the Men's and Women's Olympic Football Tournaments, CAF Preliminary Competition has been rescheduled to April 17 instead of April 11, according to FIFA.

Competition organisers, FIFA has extended the draw date by six more days though the venue, Zurich remains unchanged.

Ghana's male Olympic team, the Black Meteors and the women's team, the Black Queens have both secured qualification to the third round of qualifiers on the continent for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

The Black Meteors and two other sides on the African continent, Mali and Morocco were at the last finals at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens are in contention again for a place this time round, to Beijing.

Twelve countries in the men's category would be keenly awaiting the group draw for the African qualifiers for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games on Tuesday, April 17.

The teams are Cameroon, Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Guinea, Ethiopia, Botswana, Nigeria, South Africa, Mali, Morocco, Senegal and Zambia.

The group winners from the three groups of four each will play on a round-robin basis to declare winners who will represent the continent at the Olympics.

Ghana reached the group stage after edging out Burkina Faso on a 5-0 aggregate scoreline over two legs last month.

Three tickets would be available to next year's football tournament at the men's Olympic Games from the African continent.
