Justice Blay has confidently claimed the title of the best defender in the Ghana Premier League.

Originally a defensive midfielder, Blay transitioned into a defensive role last season.

As the 2024/24 Ghana Premier League season approaches, the former Medeama standout fully embraces his identity as a defender.

The Porcupine Warriors faced numerous challenges last season, leading to the need to deploy players in various positions.

"I believe that I am the best defender in the Ghana Premier League," the Asante Kotoko star stated during the club's open day with the press.

Asante Kotoko is set to play Medeama SC this Friday, August 16, 2024, in a friendly match to inaugurate the new T and A Stadium.

The Reds will open their season with an away game against Karela United at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko will travel to Washington DC for an international friendly against DC United after winning the maiden Democracy Cup.
