Black Stars pillar in defence John Mensah has been hospitalised following a mystery illness after playing for the Black Stars in Europe.
Information available to myghanafootball.com indicates that the RC Renne defender flew to Ghana to attend to a family emergency but his condition worsened and he was rushed to hospital.
The player has since undregone extensive lab tests scans and x-rays to determine the cause of his ailment.
Officials of the GFA, including assistant coach Selas Tetteh, Protocol officer Alex Asante and Owuahene Acheampong have paid visits to the French based defender.
Meanwhile myghanafootball.com is reliably informed that Mensah was unwell before both Ghana matches against Austria and Brazil respectively.
It is understood that the player will be flown out to France on the next available flight to continue with treatment.
