Referee Samuel Uwikunda from Rwanda has been appointed as referee for the 2025 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Ghana and Angola.
The Black Stars will begin their campaign in the qualifiers for the next AFCON in September.
The first match of the qualifiers will be an encounter against Angola at home in Kumasi.
In a statement from the Ghana FA today, it has confirmed that Rwandan referee Samuel Uwikunda will be in charge of the contest.
The 37-year-old will be assisted by compatriots Dieudonne Mutuyimana (Assistant Referee I), Eric Mugabo (Assistant Referee II), and Ruzindana Nsoro (Fourth Official).
Sanusi Mohammed from Nigeria will serve as the Match Commissioner while Elsayed Morad Attaalla from Egypt will work as the Referee Assessor.
The showdown between Ghana and Angola will be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Thursday, September 5.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 16:00gmt.
