New Coventry City striker Brandon Thomas-Asante has expressed his readiness for the 2024/25 English Skybet Championship season.
The Sky Blues are set to face Stoke City at the Bet365 Stadium on Saturday, August 10.
Despite making his debut in a pre-season defeat against German side Werder Bremen, the 25-year-old emphasized his readiness for the upcoming clash in an interview with the club's official website. He also expressed his hope to score his first goal for Coventry.
"Goals, excitement, and moments. I love to be expressive and instinctive," Thomas-Asante said. "I am playing freely, which is something the manager has ensured he will allow me to do. I am super excited about that."
He also spoke about the club's ambitions, saying, "The club knows they are on the cusp of the Premier League. We obviously missed out a couple of years ago in the play-off final, but we want that promotion. Every player does."
Thomas-Asante is optimistic about the future, adding, "I have had my eyes on the Premier League for a long time. Coming here, I feel like it will put me in that position. That's the goal for the team and the club, from the owner all the way down to the fans. We are going to make it happen."
Regarding the upcoming match, he concluded, "We are ready for Stoke. We are going to take it to them."
Kick-off for the game is scheduled for 11:30 am.
