In a pre-season friendly held in Los Angeles, Antoine Semenyo found the net for AFC Bournemouth in their defeat to Arsenal.

Arsenal initially took the lead with a goal from Fabio Vieira. However, Bournemouth showed resilience and equalized after halftime.

Semenyo, who came on as a substitute for Marcus Tavernier, quickly made his presence felt by scoring a deflected shot off Omar Rekik into the far corner, levelling the match at 1-1.

The game was ultimately decided by a penalty shootout, with Arsenal triumphing 5-4. A missed penalty by Ryan Christie proved to be the turning point, securing the victory for Arsenal.

Arsenal's lineup saw significant contributions from seasoned players, including Thomas Partey, who played for 62 minutes before Jorginho took over. Emile Smith Rowe was notably absent, with transfer rumours linking him to Fulham.

This match wrapped up Bournemouth’s pre-season tour of California, which also featured a 2-2 draw against Wrexham.
