Kwaku Amponsah, the former Chairman of the Asante Kotoko National Circles Council (NCC), has announced that the club plans to sign two additional players before the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season begins.
So far, the Porcupine Warriors have added six new players to their roster after a trophyless season that saw them finish 6th in the league.
Despite these new acquisitions, Amponsah stated that the team aims to further bolster their squad.
"We will bring in two more players before the start of the Ghana Premier League season," Amponsah revealed in an interview with Kumasi-based Pure FM.
"Our focus is on strengthening the midfield before the start of the new season, and we will introduce the new signings soon."
The players who have already joined Kotoko include Joseph Ablorh, Elvis Kyei Baffour, Ndongani Samba Gilbani Oneil, Emmanuel Antwi, Esmat Hassabalbagi, and AbdoelKarem AbdoelRahman Yoouef Yagoub.
In other news, the Ghana Football Association has confirmed that the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League will kick off on September 6.
