Football News I am still in coaching, says ex-Black Stars boss, CK Akonnor

Former Black Stars coach, C.K. Akonnor says he is still into coaching despite being out of the dugout for a while.

Akonnor has been unattached since leaving his post as the head coach of the senior national team in 2021 and was replaced by Milovan Rajevac.

However, the former Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak coach speaking to ChannelOne TV said he is still in coaching despite being clubless.

“I am still in coaching what is important is that I’m learning within the football circles a lot of things," he said.

"I am good, I’m very very happy with what I have done for myself and of course, the knowledge that I have acquired…so I am happy I’m good," he added.

Akonnor has also served as head coach of Sekondi Wise Fighters, Dreams FC and Ashanti Gold SC.

Akonnor qualified Dreams FC from the Division One to the Ghana Premier League by winning the Zone III in 2015.
