Black Stars coach, Otto Addo, has expressed his willingness to collaborate with Callum Hudson-Odoi, the Nottingham Forest winger, amidst speculation about the player's international future.
Despite representing England at various youth levels and earning caps for the senior national team, Hudson-Odoi remains eligible to play for Ghana according to FIFA rules.
Addo addressed the potential of Hudson-Odoi joining the Ghanaian squad, stating, "So far, there has been no approach to me. I've heard discussions about it [Hudson-Odoi's potential invitation]. We are open to anyone who wants to join. If a player like him expresses interest, we are always open to that," he told 3Sports.
The coach emphasized the importance of players integrating into Ghanaian culture and praised the team's inclusive environment, saying, "It's crucial that anyone who joins buys into the Ghanaian culture, which is very positive. Since I arrived, I've seen great harmony between Muslims and Christians, and among different ethnic groups."
He added, "While challenges may arise, as a team, we unite well. It's heartening to see how well things can work regardless of where someone comes from. We come together as one, and that unity is incredibly important."
Addo's comments highlight the welcoming stance of the Ghanaian national team towards potential new recruits like Hudson-Odoi, underscoring their commitment to inclusivity and teamwork.
