Addo has recorded two wins in his first two competitive games against Mali and Central African Republic in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Akonnor was particularly impressed with the team's solid play in the away match against Mali, where he noted that the attacking line performed admirably in counter-attack situations.

The former Asante Kotoko gaffer also highlighted the team's three-goal haul in the second match, a feat he believes is worth appreciating.

"It is very hopeful I saw the match against Mali it is an away match the way we played was solid I was very happy with our attacking line the way we played soak them and attack counter-attack situation," he said.

"So it looks very hopeful the second match we saw our team score three goals I think it is been a while that we scored such goals three goals so we need to appreciate it.

"Of course, there are things coach he himself made mention of it they have to improve in that area and for a coach I understand and I think the future is hopeful," he added.
