Malaysia-based top Ghanaian combat fighter, Gerald Dah on June 1 defeated Nawid Bakhshi of Afghanistan in the 70 kg division of the 2024 Malaysia International Muay Thai Championship at Dataran Warisan Taiping in Perak.
Elated Dah who won by a unanimous decision said it is a dream come true to add to his collection.
“Now I can sleep well and hope the sports journalists in Ghana and Africa will see and recognize our efforts in raising our national flags in far places,” he said.
Gerald Dah who has been fighting in big rings and championships prayed that the Ghana Kick Boxing and Muay Thai Federations will work hard to promote more Ghanaian athletes.
