Ghana coach, Otto Addo, has emphasized that their top priority remains securing qualification for the 2026 World Cup.

Speaking after unveiling his 26-player squad for the upcoming matches against Mali and Central African Republic, the 43-year-old coach reiterated the team's determination to reach the global tournament.

Despite a challenging start in Group I, where the Black Stars currently sit fourth with three points, following a hard-earned victory against Madagascar and a surprising loss to Comoros, Addo remains focused on the goal of World Cup qualification.

"Surely, we want to qualify for the World Cup, and that is the aim," he told the press on Wednesday at the headquarters of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

"It is difficult with our current position, but in the end, we want to qualify," he added.

Ghana's national team will face Mali at the Stade du 26 Mars in Bamako on June 6, followed by a home fixture against Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Stadium on June 10.
