Black Stars captain, Andre Ayew, reflects on his iconic transfer to Swansea in 2015, expressing no regrets about his decision.

Ayew's arrival at Swansea marked an immediate impact in the Premier League, marked by a memorable debut goal against Chelsea and securing the Premier League Player of the Month title in his inaugural month with the Welsh club.

Following a successful stint at Swansea, Ayew later made a significant move to West Ham for a then-record fee of £20.5 million.

Discussing his choice to join Swansea in 2015, Ayew cited financial considerations among the factors influencing his decision.

"No, not at all. In France, Swansea wasn't widely known. Other interested teams may have had more prestige, but they didn't offer the same style of football," Ayew explained. "I had a pivotal role to play, and the financial aspect was also a factor. It felt like the right fit for me in every aspect. Moreover, I was honoured to be recognized as the Premier League's best player of the month as soon as I arrived."

Now plying his trade with Ligue 1 side Le Havre, Ayew's continued success sees him being named Player of the Month for February by his current club, marking eight years since his memorable move to Swansea.
