Former Asante Kotoko National Circles Council Chairman, Kwaku Amponsah, recently disclosed the team's aspiration to participate in the CAF Champions League in the forthcoming season.

He made this statement ahead of Kotoko's Matchday 19 encounter against Bibiani Gold Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium, slated for today.

Following a surprise loss to Heart of Lions in their last fixture, the Porcupine Warriors are eager to secure their first victory in the second half of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign.

Amponsah expressed this sentiment during an interview, emphasizing the team's focus on clinching the league title, which will secure their participation in the CAF inter-club competitions.

"The sole trophy left for us is the Premier League, and we are determined to claim it," he affirmed during a conversation with Kumasi-based Pure FM.

"We are out of the FA Cup, so our primary objective now is to secure the Premier League title, ensuring our place in the continental tournament. It's where we belong, and we are willing to put up a fight to achieve that," he added.

The highly anticipated match against Bibiani Gold Stars is scheduled to kick off at 15:00 GMT.
