Following a thorough review of its financial statements, Accra Hearts of Oak, a prominent Ghana Premier League club, has decided to dissolve its current Board of Directors.

This announcement comes after multiple meetings aimed at establishing the necessary structures for the formation of a new board.

Initially, the auditors' report was awaited to inform this decision; however, after its submission approximately two weeks ago, it took a couple more meetings to complete the review of the financial statements.

On Tuesday, during the final board meeting, the financial statement review was concluded, and the outgoing board members were officially informed of the termination of their tenure, effectively dissolving the board chaired by Togbe Afede XIV.

In response to this announcement, the former Board Chairman, Togbe Afede XIV, urged outgoing board members to propose suitable candidates for the new Board of Directors.

This decision marks the end of Alhaji Alhassan Andani, Thomas Kwesi Esso, Professor Kofi Kumado, Ivy Heward Mills, Alhaji Moro Adamu, Vincent Sowah-Odotei, Dr Nyaho-Nyaho Tamakloe, and Frank Nelson Nwokolo's tenure as board members after 12 years.

Notably, Togbe Afede XIV and Delali Anku-Adiamah, the Managing Director, have been named as the initial members of the new board.
