Leicester City winger, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, beamed with joy after scoring the decisive goal in their FA Cup quarterfinal match.
Issahaku executed a remarkable curling strike in extra time to secure a 1-0 triumph for Leicester against Bournemouth, a Premier League club, at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday night.
Issahaku, previously of Dreams FC and currently on loan with the English Championship team, shared his sentiments after the game, revealing that the outcome didn't catch him off guard.
"I’m thrilled and feeling amazing. I’ve been eager to notch a goal in the FA Cup, and I’m delighted it happened like this,” he remarked.
"I wasn’t too taken aback by our victory, as I had a positive vibe before the game.
"I have full faith in my teammates and the manager, so this victory isn’t all that surprising to me,” he added.
The 19-year-old has exhibited superb form for the Foxes since joining, netting four goals and contributing nine assists thus far.
