Ghana defender, Mohammed Salisu, after participating in AS Monaco's 3-2 victory over RC Lens in the French Ligue 1, attributed their success to relentless determination on the field.
In an interview with Monaco's official media, Salisu, who played the full duration of the game, spoke about the team's hard-fought win, stating, "It was not an easy match. Despite everything, we managed to win these three points by fighting at every moment on the pitch.
"It’s not so easy to come and score three goals here at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis." Salisu emphasized the importance of the victory, highlighting that "it’s great for the team!” he added.
Salisu's performance has been a bright spot for Monaco, especially after a challenging run with the Ghanaian national team during the 2023 AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire.
Up next, Salisu and Monaco are set to face league leaders PSG on Friday, March 1 at 20:00 GMT. Salisu’s Black Stars teammate Abdul Salis Samed served as an unused substitute for Lens in the game.
